Cancellation policy
In the case of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations within 48hrs of arrival means that 100% of the room charge may apply if we are unable to re-let the accommodation. A "no-show" will be charged the full rate. We strongly recommend that our guests take out travel insurance.
Check in
Rooms are available from 4pm (16.00hrs) on the day of arrival. Earlier entry can normally be arranged on request. If you wish to arrive later than 6:30pm (18.30hrs) please notify us, as rooms may be re-let after this time - especially in the busy season!
Mobile Phone Reception
Mobile phone signal is unavailable in the house due to the surrounding hills, but is available a short distance up the road.
How to find Shorefield House
From the Skye Bridge & Mallaig follow the A87 through Broadford to Portree. Leave Portree on the A87 to Uig. After 4.5 miles (7km), turn left on the A850 to Dunvegan. Travel 10 miles (16km) to Edinbane.
From the Uig ferry follow the A87 for approx 10 miles (16km). Turn right on the A850 to Dunvegan and travel 10 miles to Edinbane. Shorefield House is adjacent to Edinbane Pottery.
Distance from major cities
Shorefield House is approximately 3 hours from Fort William and Inverness, 5 hours from Glasgow and Stirling and 6 hours from Edinburgh. Skye bridge is just an hour away, Dunvegan castle is only 10 minutes and Portree a mere 15 minutes.
Are children of all ages welcome?
Yes, we cater for children of all ages. Travel cot and high chair available on request. We offer a children's menu, we have a children's play area and an ensuite family room.
Disabled access
Shorefield house has a ramp at the front door for easy access and many of the rooms, including the dining room, are on the bottom floor.
Motorbikes and Bicycles
We offer hard standing for motorbikes and a secure area for bicycles.
Special Diets
We cater for vegetarians and offer a children's menu.
Parking
Shorefield House offers ample off street parking.
